A Santorini Elopement for Dominique & Mus
In September I was lucky enough to be invited over to Santorini for a beautiful sunset elopement on the cliffs over looking the Caldera.
We arrived a few days early to scope out the island as it was my first time over there and I wanted to get a feel for the place and more importantly the light. After meeting with Dominique and Mus one evening for a drink and to finalise their wedding day plans and timings We sat and watched the sun set and knew this was going to be a pretty special day in a pretty special place.
On the morning of the wedding I hung out with Dominique as she prepared for her ceremony, she looked utterly incredible in a figure hugging mermaid gown and classic Hollywood inspired hair and make up. As the sun began to descend we headed to the cliff side hotel where Mus was waiting and the most beautiful intimate ceremony took place with myself and my husband (who came along to assist me) as witnesses, which was such an honour.
After the ceremony and a couple of glasses of fizz and a slice or two of delicious cake we spent time capturing Dominique & Mus against the incredible backdrop of Santorinis Caldera as the sun made it's way down below the horizon.
We then headed up to Oia where they had booked possibly the most romantic and secluded table for dinner that I've ever seen! Down about 1000 steps, perched alone on the tip of the cliff with the most amazing view of the town lit up along the coast we grabbed a few shots pre dinner before we left them to enjoy the rest of their magical evening in this amazing place.
I'm pleased to say that I'm now offering special packages for elopements as they become more and more popular with options available for both UK and European elopements and my diary is firmly open from April 2019. I really love shooting elopements, there's something so very intimate and special about them...
